For the health of ourselves , our love ones and all. Is better to work from home. The virus has not stop, is more contagious, gas prices are way too high for us to be going into the office. Causing less to keep us at home, than the office. I feel more productive been at home.

Working from home provides a stress free environment, I feel safe and protected. I am more productive when working from home, as distractions are eliminated. Working from home reduces the amount of money I need to spend on gas, especially considering the current cost. Its also better for the environment. I can still communicate effecitvely with my team virtually. Working from home is a win-win. I've never been happier at FTB than I have since we started Teleworking. We can still achieve a great camaraderie whilst keeping a safe distance from one another.

We have the technology needed to held meetings and make presentations that provide similar atmosphere as having face to face meetings, but with technology presentations and discussions are even better. With technology, we can present our screens, obtain control of the screen of a peer who needs help, we can see each other’s faces, we are online and reachable.
I am confident that I produce the same (if not better) results from home, I can say I am working hard from home.
If we can telework every day, we could protect our coworkers and ourselves from the virus, save the state money on electricity, and save money on gas. The collaboration among peers is still there, we just have to utilize our technology efficiently.

I have worked for EDD for over 25 years. I recognize that in the view of the public, we have the worst reputation among all state departments, probably followed by DMV. However, as an employee, I am appalled by the blatant disregard for employee health exhibited by FTB and CalPERS. These two departments, once viewed as prestigious by other public employees for their modern campuses and amenities, are increasingly viewed as departments to avoid for their archaic thinking and failure to adapt to the modern workforce. It is not well understood that the majority of the problems exhibited at EDD were the direct result of poor decision making from a handful of executives who retired either just before or at the beginning of the pandemic. The current executive team has worked diligently to right past wrongs and to motivate employees facing unprecedented workload volumes not seen in EDD's history or frankly in that of any other department. Speaking from personal experience, as a software engineer, I worked countless evenings and weekends of unpaid overtime (as an FLSA exempt employee) during the height of the pandemic, updating EDD's software to comply with rapidly changing eligibility rules and benefit enhancements for the unemployment insurance program. I am grateful that EDD not only had the technological infrastructure in place to allow me to serve the citizens of California to the best of my ability from the safety of my own home, but that EDD's executive leadership fully embraced telework and the Governor's vision for a modern workforce and a cleaner environment. For the archaic leadership at FTB, I am guessing you are familiar traditional management styles such as those espoused by Stephen Covey in his "7 Habits of Highly Effective People." Let me ask you this, what deposits have you made to your employee's emotional bank account? Are your employees willing to go the extra mile for you to get the job done when times get tough? I do not deny that there are s

We've teleworked successfully for 2.5 years. There's no reason to return to the office and with 1/5 people who recover developing Long Covid, it's simply immoral to force workers back into poorly ventilated offices.

*I have proven that I am more productive when working from home.
*I don't have to stress worrying for my safety and protection of love ones.
*No distractions when teleworking
*Worry-free walking around, touching things, and the use of bathroom.
*Breathing freely without wearing a mask.

The inability to telework 100% if your workload lends to it is asinine. Do better GC. We all don’t have the luxury of a six figure salary to offset the cost of gas. Don’t you get it?!?!?

Telework is more productive and safe. Cases sky rocketed when staff started coming back. No need for most of us to be in the office more then 1 day a week if at all.

Too many cases with the return to office. New hires should be allowed telework at least PT also. I know multiple new PCCB agents who avoided covid until coming in to the officee then catching it. At home more productive and much safer. I am health compromised.
