DAZN, like many companies, have failed in its response during this time. Words, however well intended, are simply not good enough without concrete actions.

For DAZN to be live in America and be in the industry of sports, tackling racism in sports is key to be a progressive company. We should take this movement seriously. A statement by John Skipper does not reflect the approach we take as a company, which has been mute to this point. We have a unique position in sport being a forward thinking company and paving the way for the future of sports, not just in tech and production, but with our company mindset too!!

Be interested to see the ethnicity breakdown of employees within DAZN and what DAZN are actively doing to empower employees - and what the future plans for this are. It's not just about the statement - it's the actions we take moving forward...

I have been left disappointed by DAZNs response
At the very least I expected an open communication to our staff, shining a light on this issue and showing support for our non-white colleagues
We should go further though, firstly by looking at our own organisation, and secondly, can we use our position as a content provider to help educate?

I think its important address BLM directly and discuss how we as an organization can be a part of the solution at least internally. Through education, opportunity pipelines and more I think we can make a positive impact

This is an opportunity to help drive change. Change is needed and, as a media outlet, we have the means to influence others. We pride ourselves on our values and should include this issue in our editorial thinking

As a sports company (and industry), I've always felt we need to do more on gender equality especially in commercial, tech and senior positions in business. I think there has been slow progress over the years but BLM is the topic of now and Dazn being in the position that it is in (a young new brand with millions of fans but still growing and an advocate of athelets from all backgrounds), i absolutely feel Dazn can and should take some meaningful action to address and support employees, athletes and communities to make a difference! I for one not as an employee of Dazn but as a consumer will be making all my future decisions about my brand loyalties based on companies taking meaningful actions in the year 2020, so will all my friends and family! No one will forget this year and Dazn can stand out and make a real difference internally and externally if there was a plan to do so. I hope the board/exec team suport this Liseli! Its inspiring and you have my full support!

“What if 2020 isn’t cancelled?
What if 2020 is the year we’ve been waiting for?
A year so uncomfortable, so painful, so scary, so raw — that it finally forces us to grow.
A year that screams so loud, finally awakening us from our ignorant slumber.
A year we finally accept the need for change.
Declare change. Work for change. Become the change. A year we finally band together, instead of
pushing each other further apart.
2020 isn’t cancelled, but rather
the most important year of them all.”
