I'm sick and disgusted that these dogs don't have any time to find a home these poor babies have like 2 days max it's disturbing it's inhumane you need to fix it they're innocent animals and no fault of their own do better

Fort Worth needs to prioritise saving dogs’ lives. The current system isn’t working and there is a lack of transparency about dogs on the euthanasia list.

We all need to step up and do more, including all of our politicians, and all of this wasteful spending needs to go to good causes such as Animal Rescue and Care

Active member of Saving Hope Rescue who saves and pulls many from your shelter, specifically from euthanasia. It is a disgrace given the already poor reality of animal welfare in fort worth and Texas in general, that FWACC will not even give these animals the DECENCY of a fighting chance to live by ensuring advocates, like Saving Hope can post and try to step up for these animals. DO BETTER FORT WORTH. These animals are INNOCENT!!

It sickens me to hear that Fort Worth has one of the highest kill counts in the country. Ive lived here my whole life and im generally proud of my city, but this?! This has to stop. These animals deserve a chance at life. Please do better.

The mayor doesn’t care. The shelter managers care about quota. Sick dogs are transported. Dogs are transported to bottom barrel rescues that don’t place properly and leave dogs in horrible situations. There are lies to fosters and volunteers and if a hard working volunteer asks a question, they are shut out. Staff begs foster ears to take more than allotted number of fosters and every dog is sick from sub par treatment Then add the drama staff ropes the volunteers into. We just want to help Dogs, not hear how everyone is offended. I’ve worked with 3 shelters since leaving 1/2024 and they are light years better.

Fort worth should be ashamed of its self for putting down so many animals that their only issue is being born, it is not their fault, put stricter laws in place, punish the ones that do not follow I have seen 2 recently returned to the shelter that were adopted and returned that were starved to death! why are the police not called? you know who adopted them! animals are voiceless and they matter just as much as humans, they have living souls also and GOD made them just as he made us and who are we to decide just callously to put them down due to space? taxes are paid build a bigger shelter or ask the Dallas shelter what they do to keep from euthanizing this is ridiculous, IT MAKES ME FLAT OUT SICK! something needs to be done. I love Texas but I am ashamed of Fort Worth animal control.
