Cuomo says test scores for kids are meaningless? How could that be when there is so much pressure on teachers for them to do well. Even if they don't understand the big picture, kids aren't stupid, kids are intuitive. My fourth graders teacher is the best teacher he's ever had. He has learned more from her than from all his other teachers put together. Unfortunately this will not make him do better on the test, and if 50 percent of her evaluation is based on his 1, 2,3,or 4? It is not meaningless for him or me.

As a practitioner who has worked in the education field for over 20 years, if I had created exams with this many flaws, I would have scrapped them declared them invalid measures for my students and asked a group of professionals to help me analyze what I had done wrong before I ever subjected another group of students to the same errors. That is just good pedagogical practice. Why are we paying these clowns millions of taxpayer dollars for such shoddy workmanship?

As a practitioner who has worked in the education field for over 20 years, if I had created exams with this many flaws, I would have scrapped them declared them invalid measures for my students and asked a group of professionals to help me analyze what I had done wrong before I ever subjected another group of students to the same errors. That is just good pedagogical practice. Why are we paying these clowns millions of taxpayer dollars for such shoddy workmanship?
