The students of Chapel Hill High School have worked hard through their 3rd and 4th years. We have been eagerly looking forward to prom, despite delayed communication and being forced to have it in March instead of the usual May. We have paid high student dues only to feel like very little has been done for us throughout the school year. After months of anticipation surrounding questions like, “Where is prom being held this year?” and “Where is all this money going?” the answers we received were extremely lackluster and undeserving. Not only is our prom being held at an airplane museum, but there is also no clear theme. Overall, it feels as though our prom has been rushed, undervalued, and given minimal thought or consideration. The Chapel Hill High School administration needs to be held accountable for this careless attempt at planning, and the first step is making them aware of how many students are genuinely upset with this decision.
