I believe that everyone says things that they don't mean in the heat of the moment when they are upset and angry, and when they look back they wish they could take it back. Same goes for Yahoo Answers, people might put up questions and write so much stuff in them about certain people and situations, and say stuff that they might have later regretted when they look back. Also you see questions on Yahoo where the user might have been overeacting on a problem they had, and looking back now they probably feel so stupid and it might make them look a bit crazy, when they really aren't, they just didn't know how to handle the situation. There are also times where people might give out too much info about themselves by accident, and get into troule over it. And then there are people who would put up questions just asking advice on issues like mental problems and certain secrets going on in their private lifes. So the reason why I am putting this petition up is because even though Yahoo Answers is a huge community, there are times when you do get discovered by someone you know, like a friend or a bully, because there are people out there who would put their real name and picture of themselves up, because they would think to themselves that no one will find out about them here. But it had happened to a lot of people, including me, and how that can sometimes result into friendships ending, because the friend knows too much about you and might feel awkward or annoyed with you afterwards, especially if you have been talking about friend troubles. It can result in bullying, if your questions are found by the wrong people, and they start telling everyone about your secrets, and people start to turn against you. Even if you do put your profile to private, the questions can still be up forthe public to see if they conme across it. And I also believe that we have a right to delete resolved questions about ourselves if we decide we don't want them up anymore, we shouldn't have to give any type of reason to erase our personal information that we decide that we don't want it on the interent anymore. So please sign the petition and hopefully Yahoo might listen to us. Thank you.
