The Securly extension installed on most school computers around the world is authoritarian, violating, and counter-intuitive. In restricting the usage of online resources, teachers subject their students to a possible chance of faliure because they are unable to access the websites they need for a project.
If you are under the impression, as is reasonable, that Securly does not block useful resources, but only blocks harmful content, you are mistaken.
The extention blocks websites such as Quora, Change.org, Discord (Which some teachers use as a resource in this time of Online School), all Social Media platforms, and even the beloved CoolMathGames.

I genuinely am terrified of how controlling all schools have become as of late. Banning games and whatnot does not motivate us to finish our assignments. It motivates us to find ways around this extension. Most, if not ALL students likely have a huge dislike with the data-stealing application, and for that I wish to sign this, being a genuinely terrified student myself.
for some reason, it auto allows camera acess and mdhi reprogram. it also sells the information you search, its spyware.
