Nothing wrong with a couple of weeks in June or July. Imagine hosting the state championships the week prior to July 24th.

I feel a decision was made at a time that considerations should have been being made for how and when we could salvage an opportunity for our student athletes to make the best of the situation they find forced upon them. I believe what makes this State stand out to the rest of America is that we can deal with adversity in ways most others chose not to. I feel this decision was made by a few influential individuals and the consensus was not even given an opportunity to participate on the decision taken. UHSAA is an independent organization of the State School Board and that the choices made do not need to be in unison. Please reconsider your decision unless an explanation beyond what has been brought forth to the general public thus far can more influencing to support the decision handed down.

I remember when I was a senior playing for the state championship. I hope that these kids get that opportunity to play and go for what they have dreamed of. Not to mention, kids who were being watched by colleges and even possibly the MLB will no longer be able to show their worth in getting to where they want to go.
