UHSAA - Please Reconsider - Delay is ok, but let them all play!

I would LOVE to see those Senior athletes play their final season of high school sports. They deserve it!

I respectfully ask you to let the kids play.

Let the high school athletes that have worked so hard have a chance to play and find some solace in a world shrouded in uneasiness and insecurity.

After being at Lowe’s on Saturday with a thousand people and no social distancing cancelling sports is frustrating and frankly embarrassing. Focusing on the wrong areas where this can be spread. It feels as though a lot of efforts is put in place for businesses to operate and give them the option to operate but no effort by the UHSSA or Superintendent.

Please please please reconsider, I’ve been preparing for this season for months

I'm a school counselor and sports have a HUGE impact on grades and student engagement. Plus this is a huge loss to seniors seeking athletic scholarships. I URGE you to reconsider

High school athletes are the most healthy group among us. Outdoor sports are naturally distancing: soccer, baseball, track, tennis.... all games meant to run away from opponents (and even teammates). Closing down everything associated with public schools is a blanket statement when all activities are NOT equal and should not be treated the same.

My son would live to run track this senior and last year of high school. He has been so upset that it was canceled.

Let them play!

There has to be a way to compromise. It doesn’t have to be a all or nothing solution. These student athletes deserve a second look at this with a problem solving attitude. We have taught them their whole lives not to give up, to battle hard, and to find solutions. We should practice what we preach and make things happen.

The schools and school districts are not looking out for the kids just the teachers, they should finish school and let them play they have earned that right

Let’s do this! There is no reason why this can’t happen! I’m a grandmother of a baseball player from Mountain Ridge HS!! Please I’ve these kids a chance they deserve!!

Please make this work for these high school student athletes!
