My son at East High School has been running every day on his own, praying he will have an opportunity to race. He is strong and healthy. Has been home, except for his solo runs. He is not immune compromised, and definitely does not have the virus.

These kids need to play. My son is devastated by the potential forfeiture of his track season.

Please let them play! Kids are all at parks anyway. No kids diagnosed as far as I can tell. Start mid May and run 4 or 5 weeks through June. Especially baseball, bases are 90 feet apart!

Let them play! These are outdoor sports. Our numbers are far exceeding the models-shrink the season and let the athletes and the students have a shortened sports season!

Please allow these students to play a delayed season even if a shorter version and a championship tournament. They are losing so many moments especially the seniors.

Ease! Take precaut and be smart about it but to just toss it all so early on seems so extreme. If there are problems then consider chanvot...

It would be nice to have a state championship track meet, especially for seniors but only if it can be done safely.

My daughter is just one of many who were so excited for their sports season for their senior year and honestly the cancellation of her Golf season has been more damaging to her than not having school or even graduation. These kids have missed out on enough, I think even if the season is in the summer it should still be held. Also, as a side note I think it was a bad choice anyway to cancel the girl's golf season. It's not like golf is a sport with a lot of spectators and it is very easy to remain more than 6 feet away from the other players during practice and the games.

for our senior, even a shortened season is better than no season. This is devastating to take away their final varsity season the night before their opening home game. I know everyone is making sacrifices, but we need to remember how much these seniors lost that no one can ever get back.
