Hello everyone! My name is Delaney Walsh, and I thank you for your support in my running for the 3L class Vice President.

Throughout my time at Detroit Mercy, I have watched friends and mentors take on positions in our student government, and I am excited for the opportunity to bring my prospective to the table. In being a student at our school, I have had first hand experience (as we all have) in what it is like to be a student here. It is an honor to have the chance to take my experiences here and turn them into an amazing final year of law school, and I intend to do nothing less if chosen to be our Vice President.

Throughout my time in undergrad I served as a club president for 3 years where my duties included planning events, supporting team members, being a right hand to our coach, registration and scheduling for multiple state-wide events, and more. I have also been the head coach of a varsity team for the past two years. I am confident that my time in these positions have provided me with the skills necessary to be a great leader and voice for our class.

As we all know, our time in law school is coming to end sooner rather than later. I know that entering the legal field is a daunting process, but we are clearly all up for the challenge considering we have made it this far. I would say that our class has had one of the toughest experiences in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, and safety providing I want us to have a last year full of fun, hard work, representation, and support. In reaching this gaol I would like to bring us closer together as a class through more class centered events, more communication within the class as a whole, and doing whatever I can to support each other as we close this chapter of our lives.
