The undersigned wish to show their support for fostering and supporting local independent businesses on Mount Vernon Avenue and their opposition to national retailers, such as Walgreens, displacing local independent businesses which provide fundamental services and goods to the Del Ray community. The undersigned support the tenets of the Mount Vernon Business Area plan and encourage Planning Staff, the Planning Commission and the City Council to engage in a process that will preserve, protect and promote the independent spirit of Del Ray community.
