Something need to be change about the way malaysian treated art,culture and heritage.. Not only the people,government and education system also.. Most of the people treated art as garbage here in malaysia.. We need support from all not only artist and art practitioners but everyone!! Do people care about this? No! They dont..and that is why we need to seek for what is the real wrong we've made for years..and yes..this started from children.. Teach everyone to love art to love our heritage and culture..not only focused on the economy!!

Art is not for destroy, those people whose demolished 'lunar peak' public sculpture are the one to blame. Shame on u guys.. poor Malaysian.

Its a crying shame. The sculpture could have been relocated. This is what happens when we do not have "cultured" people running the State.

I fear the destruction of the lunar peaks monument is a sign of darker things to come in this wonderful country of ours. Looking back at modern world history, it was the Nazis and fascists that eagerly destroy works of art just because they don't 'get it' or is 'offended' by it. If this callous act by civil servant(s) goes unpunished, it will give the owners of art, both public and private the 'right' to destroy any artworks in their possession with the flimsy excuse that the art works have become an 'eyesore' or 'bothersome'! As art promoters, activists and practitioners, this vile act alone tells us in volumes that whatever we do is deemed 'worthless'. It is an assault on our moral rights and artistic integrity.
