The charter is approved and DeKalb Brilliance Academy will be opening its doors for our children. Seeing this vision come to life is everything I dreamed of for my neighborhood. We finally have a school that will truly nurture the potential of our kids.

DeKalb Brilliance Academy is a proposed tuition-free, public K-8 charter school for the students of South DeKalb, slated to open in the fall of 2022.
Atlanta is a hub of economic, creative, and social development - projected to add more than 1 million jobs by 2040. To ensure that our city continues to be an international hub, more students need access to the entrepreneurial skills they will need to build our future. Our next business, political, and community leaders are in South DeKalb, and our children deserve a school that will cultivate that brilliance inside each of them. Our students deserve a school that focuses on a college preparatory education, giving students the social and emotional tools they need to become leaders, and providing access to experiential career learning through Entrepreneurial Project-based Learning. That school is DeKalb Brilliance Academy.
Our Mission: With unwavering commitment to exceptional academics, leadership development, and community collaboration, DeKalb Brilliance Academy prepares all Kindergarten-8th grade students to thrive in high school and college, have fulfilling careers, and become impactful leaders in our communities.

I am excited about Dekalb Brilliance Academy and all the opportunities it will foster for our families in Atlanta. All of our scholars should be exposed to the benefits of being an entrepreneur.
Yes!! We need this. I am sending my daughter to school in Norcross and would love for her to be able to go to school in South Dekalb!!
The community of South DeKalb deserves more choice in their educational options. Project Based Learning and Social-Emotional Learning experiences are hugely important to the future of our world and the next generation of kids.
