Theses engineering diplomates with their exposure to the industry are capable of performing their duties . Most of them are employeed in overseas as well. Upgrading the Diplomas to Degrees level upon completion of necessary aadditional studies will be benifited to the country .

According to the current proposal of ECSL there will be a new category for the engineering technology degree holders who are not come through a mathematics stream and this category is placed over the engineering diplomates level with mathematical background and high Z- score. Therefore higher engineering diplomate level is more suitable for the B.eng degree level than the technology stream graduate level.
