Sri lanken government should make proper path for diplomats to be a proper engineer for doing  the overseas jobs with good salary. But BSc engineers brig the proposals, thinking that diplomats will  acquire theirs jobs. This is so sad situation in srilanka, when compare with other country, specily india. Indians has acquired big portion of engineering job market, around the world. But our ecsl and iesl (both are single organization ) trying to put down diplomats to technical category. they never thing to upgrade diplomats as engineers giving extra knowledge with proper higher studying path, because all of them has third world mind set with sri lankan DNA

I request Sri Lankan education authorities to convert Higer national diploma in Engineering program qualification to a equivalent an engineering degree qualification.

As the Diplomates Engineers, we should arise strongly for our rights and should find a path to improve our academic qualifications up to recognized standard level and achive charted Engineer. NDES/NDT/HNDE are not just Diplomas. All Diplomates are qualified students for Physical science at the advanced level results with 3 passes in maths stream.please upgrade it to Beng digree and clear the path to professional charterd Engineer.

Request for direct Intervention to convert 3-year Engineering diploma programs into degree programs

I am living in Australia and I successfully completed a masters of manufacturing management by the Monash university in Melbourne. When they were considering to the masters course, they considered my 3 year NDT qualification only. I believe this 3 year engineering courses should upgrade as degree course.

The syllabus should review and be up to date compatible to industry standards in the world. Recommend to award the degree for the suitable and eligible students. It should maintain standard of the degree.

I am strongly agreed to this petition. Because without passing 3 subjects in mathematic stream some people are obtaining BEng in private/foreign universities easily. But we are just missed the qualification to enter the Bsc Eng at state universities. Other thing is we were selected for National Diploma in Engineering Technology after considering the A/L mathematics stream results, Z score, District quota, Entrance exam etc. So I am strongly signing this petition.
