I am a graduate from NDES 1996 batch (Mechanical General Engineering) and currently living in Canada for last 12 years. I have completed my BEng engineering degree from York University Toronto in 2020. I do not hesitate to mention that my NDES diploma is harder than my BEng from Canadian university. I would like to say that IESL has been undermining the legitimate rights of engineering diplomates (NDES, NTD and HNDE) for decades. One of the reasons for me to migrate to Canada is that there was no parth to achieve my BEng in Srilanka because of IESL influence upon the Srilanka education system.
As a Canadian citizen and BEng I would say there are no barriers for giving the legitimate recognition in this country. Please do not let the IESL to control others educational rights.
