Justice for Diplomate

Updating all these diplomas are long due. All these diplomas should be updated to Bachelor of Engineering technology degree. SLIATE (Sri Lanka Institute of Advanced Technological Education) should also be updated to an university as well..

It is a much needed one. Because after these courses we loose more money and time on degrees. But these courses are so much worth to consider it as degree

I hope this government upgrade this Diploma to degree level ASAP.

As of today, the opportunity for a NDT or other engineering diploma holder to move up in the engineering field to become a chartered engineer has been eliminated through the Engineering Act.

I kindly request to upgrade Engineering diplomas to level of BEng also to update syllabus of engineering diploma curriculum . Thank you

Lot of higher diploma holders work as engineers in foreign companies.

I support this petition . There are considerable no of Engineering Diplomates working overseas and supporting the economy of this country by sending considerable amount of foreign currency . In quantity the no expatriate Diplomates are very higher than expatriate graduates ( graduated from Srilankan universities) . Diplomates have managed to acquire and secure those employment opportunities with their own skills by just only holding a Engineering Diploma Certificate. They have so far managed to maintain the Institution of Incorporated Engineers (IIESL) representation in UAE and Qatar. They have already proven their capabilities by performing in a foreign soil and working with multinational workforce. Once their qualifications are uplifted to a Degree level the Countries ECONOMY will be rewarded .

Just allow entance from Ordinary level exam and make sure All Diplomas must be 4 years full time study peiord .

NDES is the only Diploma here with 4 years study period . Initially NDT and HNDE to be extended to 4year study programs . All the diplomates have to follow /undergo and successfully complete additional studies recommended by educational experts until they suites for a Degree level. This additional studies is a MUST .

Present education is suitable for a Diploma level. Recomended this petition upon completion of additional education only.

Yes I support the program of upgrading the National Engineering Diplomas to a Degrees level upon completion of needed additional acedemic studies.
