Actually, Congress needs to work. Since most people are seeing reductions in salary, benefits, and general economic security, we need Congress to participate also and to act responsibly for the American people. They need to lead too.
Consequently, Reduce Congressional Pay by 25% for 12 months, and reduce travel privileges to travel at will from home states to DC.
Get the federal government working by helping focus. They should stay in DC and do the work. No need to go home every week and incur additional travel costs and risks, under the guise of connecting with constituents. Most intellectual property workers are remote these days. Congress can be also.
