Deforestation, a big environmental problem

Hello everybody! My name is Nicole and I am a sixth-grade student. I am going to present you my new petition about deforestation. According to the websites that I got my information from, deforestation is a very bad environmental problem because it affects us and our Earth.

Many things will be affected if deforestation beats us. We should not cut trees because Forest’s Canopy is important to several things, it protects plants, animals and insects populations, it gives them home. It will affect completely: water, there will be no more: paper, animals, air, wood, rain, clouds and soil. That’s why we need to stop this problem before it affects us much more. About one half of of the forests that covered land are gone!

Killing trees is like killing a part of ourselves because they give us oxygen. Every year about 16 millions of trees are gone. We should help forests because they gives us more than a helpful favor, more than an important favor, a very useful one. The importance of the forests is that it provides important products for humans, provides valuable ecosystem services. From what I learn from this, we need to enjoy and appreciate nature and living organisms. They are very valuable.

If we cut trees, we are taking off a big piece of land. We don’t want that to happen. I especially don’t want that to happen..

A very good thing to learn is that some companies that work cutting trees, sometimes they don’t mean to make a harm. To have more trees, they will replant more. That’s a great opportunity.
