This is an outrage and one which, if allowed to go unchallenged, will have consequences for those working in FE and post 92 also.

It's a bit like "You'll get a fair trial on the Mon and we'll hang you on the Tue". How can the outcome be increased contributions if the dispute is ongoing?

Unbelievable that universities and even some UCU branches are endorsing the notion that there's a 'black hole' in USS finances. Also: if there is, then the entire USS Board should immediately be fired and prosecuted for gross financial misconduct.

We should not have to pay increased contributions until the dispute is more settled.

Contributions should not increase while the dispute is still ongoing. Yes, members agreed to an independant review - we did not agree to end the dispute

This is a senseless attack on private pensions when state pensions and casual workers rights to pensions are also compromised.

Unpause the USS dispute. No increased contributions after April 2019.

We are fighting to defend our pension (deferred wages) that has already been severely cut. Not a penny more!

There is no excuse for USS not fully adopting the JEP recommendations, which would see benefits preserved at much lower costs. The duty of USS is to protect member‘s interests and their actions are a severe dereliction of duty.
