I'm an ex-social worker with children. Our government shamelessly ignores international law protecting children when it comes to Palestinian children held in the military detention of Israel. We need to apply all possible pressure to expose this contempt for the law.

The detention of children in this day and age is the actions of an oppressive regime which uses force and coercion to contain an occupied nation. That in itself is against all fundamental freedoms of mankind.

Social Workers stand up for human rights. Children rights are human rights and they should be protected and respect everywhere, regardless where they born, their race, faith, class, income or where they live.
