Defend Denny Creek

Please do not destroy this beautiful area

As property owner on Denny Creek Rd. I strongly appose the proposed project. The land here has been cherished for generations, Because of the peace, and serenity that we feel when we are there. It would desecrate the beautiful land, Possibly contaminate the pure water , and disrupt the wildlife. Please do not do this to the land that we hold so dear!

This area should continue to be protected.

I too think this project has no business on a small road used almost exclusively for recreational purposes. Fishers, hikers, cyclists, and people heading to the lake and campgrounds are the majority of users now. This is just the wrong project in the wrong place. It’s a place that is loved by many. This gravel pit would severely harm it.

This land must be left untouched and left to its natural beauty.

I strongly oppose this proposed project. I am co-owner of a cabin on Denny Creek Road, and I believe this would negatively disrupt my family’s enjoyment of our cabin.

This is a sacred place for many people and has been for many many years.

While there may be similar large truck traffic from construction in the area, that is seasonal/temporary compared to 10+ years of consistent traffic because of a gravel site. Let’s leave it as is.

This land is Cherished by so many who visit it yearly. It’s been in my family over 100 years, and I’ve visited every winter and summer all my life. It is where a huge portion of my heart lives. Don’t screw it up.

Please put some restraint and planning into preserving the Yellowstone environment. I am strongly against the gravel mining proposal.

I am concerned about the impact on nature and on recreation in this area

Do not approve this open gravel pit mine. It is a danger to the environment and will devalue and disrupt the quality of living for the residents and wildlife that have surrounded this site for generations before the Deep Well Ranch came along. While the Deep Well Ranch may say they need the gravel, they have gravel access in Island Park, Big Sky and Ashton. The environmental impact of industrial development around the entrance to Yellowstone, a national treasure, should be carefully considered and not treated lightly. There are many endangered species that inhabit this area that will be impacted by dust, noise, water pollution, and heavy equipment The traffic from the heavy equipment will impact the access to the highway as well as the safe passage along Denny Creek Road to pedestrians, and livestock. Denny Creek Road and the entrance to HWY 20 are not designed and regulated to support this type of industrial access. The list of encumbrances caused by such an operation is extensive, excessive, and not in keeping with the residential and agricultural uses that have been present in the region for generations. Thank you for your careful consideration of these issues and their impact on the residents.
