Defend Denny Creek

Please leave Montana alone. Let its beauty exist and not be threatened.

We are property owners in the area who use Denny Creek road daily. This proposal will monumentally impact the current use, wildlife, water, and natural surroundings that are unique to this area. We strongly oppose this.

This is ludicrous. Do you know how negatively this will impact all the people who recreate on the beautiful Hebgen Lake?

My family has had a cabin at Romsett for almost 100 years. Please do not destroy our access to our wonderful place.

Keep the land beautiful.

So many people enjoy the peaceful beauty of the area around Denny Creek Road. Fishing, hiking, camping, cabin time, mountain biking, and other recreation activities, will all be negatively impacted. Please move this gravel pit operation elsewhere!!

This is a travesty. This area is one of the most beautiful places on earth. Go put your gravel pit in your backyard in Billings.

This will be incredibly disruptive to the beautiful natural environment surrounding the location at the gravel pit. It will also be incredibly disruptive to the wildlife and those who use the area recreationally.

There are ample nearby gravel pits to serve the needs of the Hebgen basin and Yellowstone Park. Increasing large trucks egress and ingressing onto Hwy 20 is completely irresposable and will surely lead to increased traffic fatalities on this heavily used route to the park.

There are so many other places that won’t impact so many people negatively. Mining is a necessary thing to use the vast resources but his feels like convenience over connection to resources. Don’t blight this incredible natural resource in pursuit of another for monetary gain!

Turning onto Denny Creek Road has been a “Passage of Joyful Anticipation” for generations of families, fishermen and recreationists. Disrupting it with a gravel pit operation and all it entails, would be a travesty. Please withdraw this proposed intent.

The air, noise and water pollution will destroy the basin!!!

I have been a property owner for approximately thirty five years and spent 90 percent of my childhood vacations on Denny Creek. I recently had the opportunity to stay there continuously for over a year. During this time I was able to witness the wildlife and especially the migratory patterns of the birds that count on that area as a safe haven to inhabit and particularly to raise their young which already have a difficult time surviving due to wildlife predators in the area. Disturbing this area with a gravel pit would be catastrophic to this migratory pattern of local wildlife in my opinion. Please reconsider a more suitable site without so much disturbance to local wildlife.

Please dont allow. It would simply destroy the area
