I think that trade unionism is an indispensable part of any democratic society. The attempt of the government to undermine it with the legislation passing through parliament at the moment is a threat to all of our rights - including the rights of those those of us who do not or cannot belong to a trade union. Consequently, I believe that Jeremy Corbyn's anti-austerity policies and his determination to oppose the the trade union bill need to be supported, in parliament, outside of parliament by everyone who cares about this country - and as vigorously as possible.
