Overpopulated deer herds, destruction of property and landscaping, and the increased number of vehicle collisions resulting from deer roaming in our local neighborhoods has become a matter of public safety and has resulted in the need for action. This is a petition to allow BOW HUNTING within the city limits of Green Lake County.
A special license is required and the following criteria must be met: minimum 2 acres of land; no fawns harvested; no deer drives; compound bows only, no cross bows or guns; ages 16 and older and able to pull back 35 pounds; and no shooting from within a house or in the direction of the roadway.
Once 300 or more signatures are obtained, the petition will be given to the DNR and the Green Lake County Board. Please do your part and help support the cause!
