Please hear our voices. I have lived in this neighborhood for 54 Years and for the first time I am afraid. This needs to end and our justice system needs to be revamped.

Since moving to 37th street in 2014 my home has been broken into twice, my car broken into once, and items stolen from our yard/porch on numerous occasions. It is unacceptable to live in a neighborhood designed for walking around and not be able to do so because of safety.

I was mugged last month. After 16 years, it's the first time I've been a victim of crime in this neighborhood.

I am a multi generation lifelong resident, we own our home, I work in the neighborhood and my children have attended Baltimore City Schools. The fact that I question whether we should let our kids out to play in the area because they may be assaulted, robbed, carjacked it absurd. I know crime is everywhere but I am concerned about the crime here at this time.

I chose to stay in the area when my son was born a year ago, now I am wondering if I made a mistake. I want my neighborhood safe again.

I am an Electrician and local business owner. I am forced to sell my house because in the last year I’ve had $6,000 worth of tools stolen and 2 vehicles stolen. At that rate of theft I can’t afford to stay in Hampden.

41st St. We seen many drug addicts
our car has been broken into
Things stolen from front porches
there were robberies on our street
The Royal Farms near Falls Road and 41st St. is always surrounded by drug attic’s aggressively asking people for money and following people into the store and asking them aggressively for money

The drug trade is so rampant and so obvious to everyone, on the streets, in Roosevelt Park, every day. Have the police considered using undercover officers?

I wish this neighborhood was as safe as it once was. I once happily planned to stay here and raise my own children, now I feel as though I’ve gotten my children and my family stuck in a neighborhood with crime levels off the charts; I remember how safe it was when I was my own son’s age, and now, “safe” isn’t a word I can use to describe my lifelong neighborhood in recent years leading up to present time... I can’t explain the feeling of knowing you invested everything you had into the house you love but still wanting to leave because the crime is simply out of control, but you’re stuck either way because you can’t afford to do anything but stay put and hope you or your family do not become a victim to the crime over taking the neighborhood recently. It is possible to make 21211 safer as a whole, and I bet it’s safe to say, multiple options to increase safety are free of charge with a few volunteers here and there. I want my neighborhood to be the safe place it was for me as a kid to my kids as they grow up, so I hope and pray you help ya make it happen!
