It's a great thought but why did you all wait so long after the declaration of the "Statue of Unity" first in October 2010? Anyway I join in to support to have Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's parents belonged to Karamsad, and so his native place is Karamsad. He was born in Nadiad and as far as I know he did his schooling In neighboring towns Nadiad, Petlad & Borsad. Since his native place is Karamsad, like Gandhi's native was Porbandar, I appeal and join in this petition to have Karamsad as NATIONAL HERITAGE , Anand District, and so it also covers Vallabh Vidyanagar, where the town was named after him.
