To: The Arizona Congressional Delegation:

A Declaration given on this 22nd day of April 2017 by residents of Arizona and Citizens of The United States of America.

WHEREAS The Venezuelan government has perpetrated human rights abuses upon its citizens;

WHEREAS The Venezuelan government has shut down and eliminated the freedom of the press;

WHEREAS The Venezuelan government jails its opposition, denies humanitarian assistance from reaching those who need it most, and is now murdering innocent citizens and;

WHEREAS The United States has both the International Authority and the Imperative to act in the face of such abuses;

THEREFORE We the sons and daughters of the Republic of Venezuela, residents of the state of Arizona and citizens of these Unites States ask our representatives of the Arizona Congressional delegation to:

1- Introduce and support further sanctions on Nicolas Maduro and members of his regime

2- Push the Administration of President Trump to put to full use, the diplomatic powers of the United States of America in order to expedite the immediate introduction of humanitarian aid to the territory of Venezuela

3- Push the Organization of American States to invoke the Democratic Charter to press the Venezuelan government into restoring judicial independence, a free press and the protection of fundamental human rights.
