How can anyone claim to be in service of their constituents, yet consistently oppose listening to the very people you are supposed to answer to and work for? If you are not here to serve ALL Americans in Florida, then let someone else step up to get the job done and retire already. I'm speaking to YOU "Make America Great Again" persons because you are not in your positions to serve every Florida American; you are only where you are to obtain power, greed, and control; and to serve your pocketed special interests instead of the American people. Do the right thing, for once in your leadership, and step aside so we can truly make Florida as exceptional as the what the United States of America is supposed to be.

Stop the development in low lying areas. Do not allow the development on lots, when that development will cause the flooding of neighboring lots.

Please do theses studies before any more building is approved. We need to keep our green spaces green.

The city should have an ongoing plan to monitor and dredge more frequently our waterways. More monies need to be allocated to our infrastructure not tourist attractions.
The tourist money is certainly helpful and appreciated but not at the expense of a decaying infrastructure resulting in the loss of homes and businesses of the people who live here and pay taxes.

The time has come to stop real estate development in areas threatened by possible flooding
Also, do not allow developers to raise the elevation of existing lots to comply with building codes, when this causes the flooding of neighboring lots.

Developers and politicians that support them need to be stopped. Flooding will increase as storms worsen due to climate change and global warming. As a native son of Sarasota, I have seen Republican politicians and developers lie, cheat and steal for years to make money instead of taking care of the environment. Stop them now!

As a long time resident of Sarasota, I have seen over developing (greed) continue with no apparent way to stop it. Sadly, I am finally planning to move away.
