Although I was not affected by Debby I know of many people who were, including my son. This is a tragedy and a travesty for so many. A solution is desperately needed.

Our decades-old neighborhood has not recovered from Hurricane Debby yet. The water no longer has anywhere to go. Development all around us has ruined our drainage.

A moratorium on development needs to be implemented until Sarasotas infrastructure is re-evaluated. I've lived here my entire life abd I've never witnessed anything like we dud with Debbie. That was not an act of God, that was the result of developing communities without looking at surrounding area and the potential effects of new infrastructure. WE NEED TO STOP ELECTING BULIDERS/DEVELOPERS OTHERWISE THIS WILL ONLY GET WORSE!!!

We need to stop electing developer “friendly” commissioners who are only concerned with the money lining their pockets.
