This petition is to request that NCFCA put the Stoa debate resolutions as one of the final choices submitted to its affiliates for voting.

 Many families have enjoyed the flexibility of having more tournaments to choose from, thus giving their children more opportunities to enhance their communication skills. It also provides more tournament opportunites in local areas which means less travel and less expense.

 Having different resolutions will lead to many complications. Since virtually no one will have the time to prepare for two different resolutions, families will have to choose one group or the other. Clubs will almost certainly have to choose between the two because the logistics of scheduling in-club debates, prepping students for different resolutions, etc. will be a logistical nightmare. Smaller tournaments will be the result because the many families who have gone to both will not have that option anymore.

 Fellowship will also be affected. Already many students are expressing concern that they won't see their "Stoa friends" or their "NCFCA friends" anymore.

 This is NOT a petition requesting NCFCA adopt the Stoa resolution, but merely that they put the Stoa resolution on the ballot and give their affiliates the opportunity to decide if they would like to maintain the advantages that come with both organizations using the same resolution.

This petition will be open until April 22nd, and then the signatures will be forwarded to the NCFCA.
