The petition does not argue that trans ppl should be excluded from the LGBT.

The lack of respectful debate & the assumption that to oppose these views is transgender-phobic, is offensive in itself. This is a backward step & the whole climate around this issue is one of intolerance

Shocking the way that lesbians have been abandoned not only by the left but by the very organisations that we set up. Yes, lesbians set up - not transgender people.

Gender identity politics harms women and lesbians. Stonewall school training breaks safeguarding, the equality act and the education act xx

Stonewall has lost its way. Stonewall now supports homophobia towards lesbians.

We need to have a much wider discussion on this whole issue People are becoming increasingly afraid to publicly express their point of view due to intimidation by Trans Rights Activists, vilification in the media and some disquieting communications and comments from public bodies such as Police Forces.

As a 'cis' man I have no horse directly in the race. What troubles me in all this is the increasing prevalence of vicious suppression of opinion as campaign tactic. Also bothersome is the apparent ability of certain folks to simultaneously hold the positions that cis men are generally rotten, but trans women are automatically saints. The truth is, of course, somewhere in between. Let me let you in on a little secret, though, as the owner of a male mind: self-ID *will* be abused by some men, and the endangerment of women *will* increase as a result.

A sensible statement

Stop dismissing women as transphobic when we are offended and concerned. Science and biology is being denied. Biological sex exists, you cannot redefine what a woman or a female is.

Send Stonewall a letter with some glitter in it.

I wholly support bringing all sides of the debate into this delicate subject so that we may create a brighter future.

I am concerned that any discussion is shut down by threats

Too scared of stirring up the hornets' nest in my academic department to sign openly - and this in itself is worrying. It should be possible to raise the negative impact for women and girls of some aspects of Stonewall policy now, and clear gender dimension (this is affecting women and girls way more, and in different ways, than men and boys) without being attacked, bullied, frightened and shunned. But it's not.

Stop stifling debate on this important area. Also stop making adult human females feel marginalised and transphobic for questioning things.

I would just like Stonewall to acknowledge that there are different points of view on self-identification, and some contrary views are being drowned out by Stonewall's approach.

As someone who struggled with their gender identity for many years I am very concerned where this has ended up. Surely most trans-women do not want to trample over women's sex based rights?

Stonewall should not support gender appropriation.

There is an obvious need for an open an honest discussion of this topic that values the opinions of all that are impacted by changes in legal definitions - which is everyone. Attempts to shut down this conversation and shame people will turn the general public against the trans community. It is they who will suffer most for this ill conceived and odious strategy.

Please consider that women have soverin rights also and should be listend to when issues in the Trans community affect feeling comfortable in their space in their daily lives. Young girls/ teenage girls in particular are already passing through a challanging time in their lives physically and should be afforded the right to be comfortable in their safe places during that time. Women should be allowed a voice when it comes to law making that affects their lives, sexuality and rights. Please consider this petition and help women maintain their intergrety as human beings with rights unique to their sex and gender.
