I am a white woman. If I was to self identify as black because I like rap music I would rightly be callled racist. How is this different to me deciding I was a man because I felt attracted to women or liked wearing trousres or felt I wasn't kind and sensitive enough to be a woman. Women and men (a disproportionate number of whom are gay) have fought for decades against the idea that you can define what it is to be a man or woman. Why can't I wake up one morning wear trousers and sleep with a woman whilst another day I want to behave differently without having a gender ascribed to those behaviours or having to call myself nonBinary as if behaving one way made me a man and the other a woman. This whole debate is incredibly regressive and depressing. How quickly people fall into line for fear of being on the wrong side of the liberal fence. I am so glad women and men are starting to rally against this nonsense.

Sexist stereotypes masquerading as identity politics have no business at an organization for homosexuals.

This isn’t an attack on the trans community - I support them. But not at the expense of the lesbian or gay community. The idea that biological women attracted to biological women having groups that cater to them solely are transphobic is not logical.

There is always room for respectful debate. Please reconsider your position.

Stonewall was founded to advance gay rights, but it’s encouraging gay conversion therapy in its support for extreme transactivism and organisations that actively persuade children that they are trans, not gay

I believe trans people can have rights without taking rights away from women. Feminists are not “terfs” or bigoted. Gender identity is a theory I do not believe in. Woman arm cis they are adult human females.

Shame on you, Stonewall! Please o not continue to advocate for the sacrifice/compromise women's rights for the sake of a vocal, women-hating transactivist minority. You are also condoning the attacks on critics like Martina Navratilova who have the courage to speak out in defence of only biological women (and girls) being able to participate in women's sports.

Literally, I have been horrified to witness the erosion of womens' and girl's rights. The insidious language changes and changes to the definition of lesbian and bisexual. The refusal to accept biology over ideology. The lack of female ( cis, if I must use that word) representation on panels that make decisions that affect the law and women's rights. The bullying and name calling . Something has gone very, very wrong.

Please engage in sensible debate

The rights of transpeople should be in line with others, and should not come at the expense of women and men who are not trans. The fact that no-one is allow to hold contrary opinions without being accused of transphobia, of wanting to murder transpeople, of child abuse for not wanting to medicalise children or for questioning their mental health is highly questionable and gives rise to the feeling of cult behaviour. No platforming anyone who doesn't agree in order to silence critics is an appalling abuse of privilege. This should be recognised by Stonewall, and they should be listening to the large number within the LGB community who are highly alarmed at this.

Men are not women. Wake up. It is NOT transphobic to want separate spaces for biological women ffs.

I am a survivor of child sexual abuse and have worked hard on my recovery since 1985 including nine years of therapy and many different support groups. I believe this is based on theory and not proven science and it is wrecking havoc in survivors lives trying to recover to have their safe places made suddenly unsafe with the introduction of male to woman into the safe places. this is a growing problem for all sorts of different groups of people and is a unfair law to survivors that have been sexually abused or raped. Give them their own safe places
