As a Stonewall supporter for many years (I took part in gathering evidence in pusuit of my employing organisation getting the Stonewall quality mark) I am deeply troubled by the inadmission of any discussion of how we ensure trans rights do not diminish the rights of women; and the problemising of the maturation process of gay and lesbian teenagers by the encouragement of gender non conforming teens to explore transitioning, disrupting the emerging, tentative expressions of their sexuality.

We can't allow the discussion about such an important issue to be stifled. If their cause is righteous then what do they have to lose?

I love women so much I married one, and she's been my inspiration for more than 30 years. I'd be lost without her and I'm sure many other men feel the same.

There is clearly a discussion to be had and diverse voices must not be shut down.

Please stonewall listen to women and their concerns. Women defending their safe spaces are not on the offensive. Listen, discuss and try to understand-not hate.

Please... one last chance not to damage women (especially lesbians), children, trans people and indeed all of us by not adhering unthinkingly to trans ideology.

We will not back down on the importance of sex, so please reconsider before you incite a backlash against trans people: we are your friends!

Stonewall is now so caught up in the trans issue it has stopped any support for lesbians within the trans discussions. Lesbians being called transphobic for not wanting ‘same gender’ relationships. Being a lesbian is about same SEX relationships. Stonewall’s hypocrisy in promoting Black History Month while ignoring Linda Bellos as the founder of BHM and In fact supporting trans activists, one of whom has taken Linda Bellos to court, is breathtaking and outrageous.

I think this is an issue which requires nuanced debate and that the current rhetoric leads to greater division, nastiness and extreme POV on both sides. To say that a topic which has the potential to impact on a marginalised group cannot be debated or discussed because that debate itself is violent and dehumanising to another marginalised group is unhelpful and appears from watching the debate to be making it worse. Having watched the debate it appears to me that there are valid concern from both sides and that these should be considered and discussed. Conversation leads to better understanding which can only ever be a good thing.

Please support transsexuals and lesbian and gay people by opening a dialogue with groups who care about the balancing of competing claims and rights.

I am at a loss as to why you have promoted such a callous disregarded for female and child protections. Who is this really for?

Please stop assuming lesbians and gay men are devoted to abolishing single sex spaces and same sex attraction. It is hurtful and wrong.

Value & respect the history & advances Stonewall has achieved but worry that as an organisation it is failing to recognise how gender identity ideology ignores women's sex based oppression & reduces their concerns to transphobia. The silencing imoact of this is troubling.

signing as an adult human female, granddaughter of grandmothers, daughter of a mother, sister of a sister, mother of five daughters, stepmother of one stepdaughter, grandmother of grandaughters. If women do not fight for the rights of women, who will?

The fact I’ve even been hesitant to sign this because fear of receiving further abuse for speaking up says enough. This does not allow my children the freedom to be whatever they want, it does not safeguard them. I will fail them a parent.
