Proud to be part of this community. Hahn would be ashamed of where things are heading right now.

Finally! Been waiting for the school to say something. Staying silent on these issues just feels wrong when we teach kids to be leaders.

Thank you for doing this. I have thought many times of the story of Kurt Hahn since our current president came into office and how he would never stand for such injustice.

We must speak for what we believe is morally right, this I can not and do not argue, but it must come from a place of love. I'm honored and humbled and inspired by the author's of these letters and will continue to spread it as I can. I ask that as we do this, as we stand for our beliefs and our values we remember that others views and beliefs and stories are also within the conversation. As Jessica Ross wrote some months ago " perhaps if we listen to each others' stories, we can find ways of moving forward, together" While the actions of this administration are beyond understanding and the impact devastating, we as a nation of people still also owe it to ourselves and more importantly to the generations looking to us for guidance to act from a place of understanding and compassion. To strike the delicate balance between being guided by our values with continuing to see all of mankind as our family. Those who voted for Trump and stand behind his ideology, or believe he has their interests at heart, are not the enemy they are still our family. They are still a fiber within the fabric of the human race. I like many people am drawn to act, to have my voice heard and to not allow my rights and land to be taken over by greed and ignorance. I will not stand by and watch the Boundary Waters Canoe Area be destroyed, and I will not be quiet as people are denied access to a country founded by immigrants. As I do so, and as we all do so, remember our greatest value. The value that Kurt Hahn himself put above all others : COMPASSION. Now more then ever we need to hold onto our compassion.
