By signing this petition, I fully endorse the establishment of a Deaf Studies Major/Minor at the College of the Holy Cross and back the voice of the students of the Deaf Studies program. In addition, I support a more significant structure when it comes to the staff positions in the program, thus creating stability amongst the program faculty. I feel this Major/Minor not only fits into a liberal arts education but also follows the mission of men and women for others.

Faculty stability is key here. You cant have a real program if the staff changes every single year. Do better.

My daughter took these classes and loved them. It really opens your eyes to a whole new world. Build the program.

ASL should be treated with the same respect as any other language at Holy Cross. It fits the mission perfectly.

This is so overdue. Deaf studies are absolutely vital for a well rounded education. Hope the college listens.
