This is such a shame, I’m visiting my daughter in Fl, who has known & been great friends with the family & watched Timothy grow up, the family is broken. I’m a NY resident who reads about this all of the time. ANY IMPAIRED DRIVER SHOULD BE IMPRISONED, u don’t understand why an innocent boy died in such vein. With this maybe the family can get some kind of closure for their boy. Tim I’m so sorry we’ve met plenty over the years. God bless. This bill needs to pass! It will save so many lives

I read the bill and it does appear to have some checks and balances to prevent abuse from police officers. I am always warry or losing more freedoms, however, I smell skunk weed while I am driving on the highway way too often. Funny how our society now allows drug abuse, only to get a whole slew of more problems. Why did we legalize weed again? NY?

I'm all for freedom and liberty, but nobody has a right to take tons of steel on our busy roads under the influence of anything that impairs their ability to manage it safely

I have seen the effects of certain non criminal medications that have caused impairment but cannot be charged. Anything that impairs a persons ability to operate a motor vehicle should have consequences and the person doing so should be held liable for doing so.

As recreational marijuana has contributed to rising driving while impaired and people damage, we need this policy measure to help minimize that trend.
