Dead parents can't raise kids. Dead students can't learn. Dead teachers can't teach. That may sound horrid but it happening is worse than just saying it. Long Covid is also real and terrible. I know many who continue to suffer from it. They gave migraines , low energy, hair loss and taste loss. My infant still can't be vaccinated. Please prioritize safety.

I stand with our DC educators and believe that their safety and concerns are just as important as those of the students and their parents. Wishing you all a safe and healthy school year!

I am very concerned about not being honest about letting all persons involved, be informed promptly when they have been in close contact with a positive person. In other words, parents should be notified if their child is in the classroom all day with that particular individual.

This represents the minimum DCPS should be doing to keep students, facul, and staff safe. Additionally, I believe that families should be informed if there is positive in their child’s pod, regardless of whether they are considered a close contact. No elementary students have been boosted, which is the minimum required to prevent infection with Omicron.

These demands are just common sense! Show some compassion and consideration for everyone involved please.

I am concerned as a teacher about the rise of students and teachers testing positive with the COVID.

We need to ensure that everyone have a safe entrance back to school. Everyone must be protected from this deadly virus and enter the building only when everyone can enter safely. Also, students must wear their mask properly or be sent home.
