This cover isn't offensive. It does not harm the character of Batgirl, but in fact represents a critical part of the character's history. The Killing Joke was one of the major parts of Barbara Gordon's story - she was crippled and forced to stop wearing the Batgirl cowl. And yet...did this stop her from trying to fight crime in some way? No. It did nothing of the sort. This petition has my full support. Release the Joker Cover as is!

I understand that the artist himself wants the variant art removed, but it was due to the statements against his art that caused him to do so, and I think the cover is killer.

Apparently it's okay to show Jason Todd getting beaten to death on the cover but not Batgirl getting threatened by The Joker. Makes sense.

great peice of art, and a few who don't enjoy it shouldn't be able to prevent others from enjoying.

Pulling the cover promotes censorship of artistic expression just to pander to a loud minority.

I think this cover is great. In sad that people are being analhaberdasherists and threatenin people but this is a great cover art an I would love for it to be allowed for a variant cover!

art is meant to stir up emotions and I think this cover does just that. capturing not only their history but the raw feelings that came with interaction of Joker and Bat girl
