Our children are souls with bodies. Please help us to retain this truth through truthful education. The child is not made to be a body for the government. Thank you.

What can it hurt to investigate concerns & evaluate the impact of Common Core on the mission of our Catholic families & schools before proceeding with further implementation? It just seems like a common sense thing to do. Thank your for considering these concerns.

What happened to "Catholic" schools being "Catholic" and teaching a classical education? Come on. You need to be a leader and fight this government takeover.

Preparation for college or career is secondary. Education should form us in the faith and make us truly free. The Common Core impedes education.

We are actively pursuing homeschool options for next year instead of re-enrolling our three children in our beloved Catholic school. The implementation of the CC "standards" has changed our children from enthusiastic about learning to dreading going to school each day. They spend HOURS each night doing homework that makes no sense and they're really not learning anything valuable in that process. It is frustrating and deeply saddening to even be considering this because we used to adore our girls' school and now we're so gravely concerned about the direction that they are taking with this curriculum that we're pursuing other schooling options.

Holy Angels - Dayton, OH There needs to be an open discussion, there needs to be checks and balances between the stakeholders & clarity in the details prior to agreeing to implementation of such a big change. Does not seem to be happening.

As Catholic's we are entrusted to teach our children of God and of the earth. We cannot give this responsibility to the state.

I read a review on one of the suggested literature books that had very explicit details of a sexual act. If this is recommended for a high school student, I guess I can commented on it. I don't like what I have seen in math, social studies and science. It is not what the Church represent.
