Only discovered Days in 2011. Have enjoyed storylines of Will and Sonny, Ben and Abby, Will's grandmothers, etc. Would hate to lose this show.

For a television show to still be popular after 50 years and to still be loved by millions should be reason enough to keep it on the air. So there must be an awfully good reason for them to be thinking about canceling it. Maybe it's because replacing it with a talk show or the like will cost the network much less? Well, if that's the case, then please consider paring down the cast rather than take it away altogether. I started watching the show at 16 and I'm still watching (and loving it) at 58. I remember the day Hope met Bo, I remember the day Marlena met Roman, Both Victor's and Stephano's first appearances. I've been watching for 42 years and I sure hope I can watch for 42 more!

They tried this on ABC for Katie Couric and it didn't work. It won't work this time either . I watch all three soap operas on ABC since the being. Once they did that I stop watching ABC. If NBC does this they will lose me . I also know others will follow . They think they know better but it won't work. You would think they would learn from ABC mistake but they won't. This will never work. But it will be a costly mistake on NBC. Good luck with that. You were willing to give her anything to make her come to your side. I remember my grandmom watching Days. I've watched other soaps but no more. Days is my one and only love. This show is special to me. Ms Kelly coming to the network should have no bearing on other shows. She is news and trouble. A show on the air for 50+ years with such a fan base should be given priority. NBC you should think of more than your own agenda. The viewers have spoken. Tsk tsk on your priorities. I have watched Days for many many years. My hubby and I enjoy this show and I DVR it everyday. Ms kelly means nothing to me. She is not well liked. She should take another time slot within your lengthy morning show. The news and any special events already pre-empt or interrupt Days enough. Everytime there is a news worthy incident or the President speaks you always interrupt Days. Why don't you take time away from your morning show. Seeing them for 4+ hrs or more is long enough. It's all about the money. Start listening to we the people. Without viewers you would not really be here. With that said the Days writers have been chopping at this show for the last year or so as if to lower the ratings purposely. Now we all know why. Again tsk tsk for ruining something great! I won't watch your precious Ms Kelly let alone 10NBC. She doesn't belong on daytime tv. You'll see after you ruin the network for your own selfishness.

Please keep Days on the air. I've been retired for ten years and it's been a part of my daily routine since then. Before that it was the only soap we watched in our lunch room. No others were allowed. So basically it's been a part of me for over 21 years. My DVR is always Ser so in case I'm not home I won't miss,anything. There are some very superb actors on the show and it would be a shame to have them lose their jobs for another news and or talk show. We have enough of those now. I now this means diddly to you but if you do decide to take it off for that woman or any other reason I will absolutely NEVER watch NBC again. I started watching " DAYS" with "My Mother" when I was "JUST A CHILD". The only thing I didn't care for was when Marlena was "possessed by the Devil. Mom didn't like THAT either so we didn't watch anymore. But when I went to the nursing home & "MY Roommate " was " into it" I started watching again. I HOPE " The SOAP can " STAY ON".

There is a large passionate following to the this time series. There are enough talk shows in this world... Please reconsider your decision.

I've watched for almost 25 years along with Y&R. I would be very disappointed if it came off the air. Watching soaps is routine for me every morning. It takes me away from my own reality for that one hour and I love it. If it does come off then I bet it will be replaced with something nobody will watch, like another talk show (we have enough of those). I am so sad! I have watched Days since the first day with my Grandmother. When she was in the hospital ( children weren't allowed to visit in hospitals then) I would stand below her window and give her what had happened that day. I have been injured when a chair in a theater broke. Now I am so limited in everything I loved to do. Praying, reasons, computer and Days are gill my days! I can't walk without a walker, stand for more than 10 minutes or use stairs. Please don't take my Days away.

Axing DAYS to make room for yet another talk show is absurd! Do you not remember the success ABC had with axing AMC and OLTL to make room for Katie who flopped after 2 short seasons! NO!, NO!, NO! there are enough news and daytime talk shows for the people who want that. Leave this daytime soap (DOOL) alone. It’s the Only one I love and have watched and taped when I cannot watch, to watch later. I have listened to this show since I was a young toddler, as my mother before me, watched this daytime soap. Fond memories of her ironing in the dining room with this soap on, always remember the music and voice of the orginal MacDonald Carey. It’s iconic in my mind. My hour to sit and eat lunch and watch, just unwind with the happenings in Salem. I have had to watch many favorite shows go off for whatever reason, but this show, I cannot and will not watch go!!!. NBC, these talks show come and go, very few stay, if you must, do away with any of the other shows in the lineup of the day, but do not let this soap go. Spend your millions and find another time slot for This Megan Kelley.

For years some networks have tried to put talk shows in afternoon slots and they have failed. Days of our lives is a staple on NBC there have been years in the past that ratings drop but they have picked backed up with new writers, different story lines, etc. NBC needs to leave this soap opera alone!

I have been watching Days of our Lives since 1985 when I would visit my grandfather with my infant daughter. He would hush me until the commercial and then fill me in as to what was going on. He was the one who actually got me hooked. But before that my grandmother watched the very first day of Days and got my grandfather hooked. Both grandparents have passed away and I am still a loyal fan and now my retired husband loves to watch it with me. I will be heartbroken and devastated if it goes off the air.
