In light of the sweeping cuts to the HE budget, the trebling of tuition fees, and the incoherent access policies announced by the government, I have no confidence in the policies of the Minister of State for Universities and Science.  I call on the government to delay publication of its White Paper on Higher Education to allow for proper consultation and public debate on the proposed reforms, which could inflict lasting damage on Higher Education in the UK.
