Subject: Open letter to David Brooks: Call for Signatures Dear friends, Many of you no doubt saw David Brook's shocking opinion piece on Haiti in the New York Times yesterday. Not only does Brooks blame Haitians for the situation they are now in, he proposes a dangerous U.S. response of "intrusive paternalism," which we can all see as a call for renewed cultural imperialism.
