This decision would be wrong in so many ways. Lose a few parking spaces instead but please don’t kill our sport. Thank you

Please keep the courts. Would be a shame to not be able to play there

Please keep the Squash courts open and find another space for Blaze. Find other uses for some of the courts during the day. Blaze will probably just be a temporary phase. Additional you have probably just looked at court usage but many players will just use the courts if they are free.

Don’t lose squash as a sport by removing courts as it’s one of the best ways to stay fit and healthy !

This is short-term thinking by David Lloyd management. Clearly aiming for members that will switch to another gym when they get bored or find a new fad, rather than focussing on what is an extremely loyal community of members that love squash.

It is so incredibly short-sighted to remove squash courts in a flourishing and successful ‘club’ chock full of members with a secondary spend going above and beyond court bookings, particularly when due to changes in booking procedures, often members do not actually book a court in the day when they play due to a ridiculous system that requires you to book with an opponent - many players also want the ability to train solo and are prevented from legitimately booking a court as an individual......hence court usage is actually far higher than bookings suggest. By undertaking this decision DL are placing greater value on yet another fad phase of studio-based exercise over a commonwealth sport ever fighting for its rightful place in the Olympics!! Come on DL look at how you could nurture squash and draw members from the gym/studios - your already great studio set-up could surely accommodate the ‘blaze phase’ with a little bit of innovate thinking on equipment storage, set-up and lighting without further ripping the soul out of a much loved sport. Someone in the Exec Management team has to have the nouse to ensure all members can be enriched by new trends in the ‘fitness’ industry without causing an uprising and losing hundreds of members up and down the country - us squash players are your bread and butter, loyal members, loyal to a superb sport that deserves more from its custodians. We love your clubs and joined because they have such a great squash offering - please don’t destroy it!
