I have been a squash member since 2006 and will cancel in a flash the moment they take away a squash court

Squash is rated as the number 1 healthiest sport to play by Forbes magazine. You burn 1000 calories an hour, learn a skill as well as being competitive.
To replace it with a fad fitness studio is extremely short-sighted and appears to be a short term money making scheme.

That would be a big loss for Gidea Park, and for the sport which Niall has worked hard to build.

Disgusting they are even contemplating shutting the courts for a 5 minute fashion fitness. Squash has been around for a century and will still be around long after this silly fad has died

Please don’t spoil the hard work that has gone into building up the squash at this club, especially for the juniors who have thrived here ☹️

I have a family membership at DL, but only stay there for the squash courts if these are taken away then I will be cancelling my membership and going somewhere with squash courts and closer to my home.

There is a concerning lack of squash courts in the Romford area. The David Lloyd squash courts should also perhaps be opened to non DL members and members of the public allowed to join the squash club
