Hello, I am David Dehn and I am seeking access to the ballot for 1L Class Representative.

I have a passion for representation and experience. I served as a Student Senator in 2020 at my undergrad Grand Valley State University. After undergrad, I spent years working in fields related to representation. I was a street-level fundraiser for the ACLU and generated roughly $160,000 in annual memberships in five months. After this I began a role at The Zekelman Holocaust Center, working at a non-profit that allowed me to act as a liaison between different communities and organizations. A shining achievement on this front was assisting in hosting and attending a round table discussion run by 13th district congresswoman (and personal inspiration) Brenda Lawrence. This featured community, political, and faith leaders tackling Black/Jewish community relations issues. This kind of work is something I love and would be honored to bring this passion to our class at University of Detroit Mercy Law. Thank you!
