File Number D-8192-04 Asking for anyone’s help in obtaining my pardon from the governor-my letter

Mr. Governor, I am writing you regarding my pardon application, Please take a look at it and grant my pardon. It has just been to long waiting. You have cut the economy, let repeat offenders out of jail- it is time to give hard working honest people like myself more freedom in life to obtain higher goals in life and most of all have peace of mind.

I was at a very low point in my life at the time when I was arrested; my mother had died of cancer in 1989, my father died in 1991 due to a brain aneurysm, and my brother George died in 1993 due to an accident. I had been in a state of depression when I was involved in the burglary. After getting out of LA County jail, yes, jail not prison serving a 1 year term for a charge of 1st degree burglary. I have attended Los Angeles City College and earned an AA in Child Development and continued my education at California State University of Los Angeles in the Urban Learning Major were I was to get my Bachelor's of Art and my preliminary teaching certificate, but unfortunately in my 2nd quarter in my 400A class, which was to obtain the clearance from the California Teaching Commission to continue toward my goal I was denied. I had no reason to think this would happen, at the time I worked for LAUSD as a teacher's assistant at Grant Elementary School in Hollywood. So with all honesty I thought I had been cleared because TA's as with all employees go through the same background check. I was then fired immediately from the district. The only way to be in the certificated program now is to obtain a certificate of rehabilitation (which I have) and a pardon from the governor.

Under the direction of Dr. Martin Brodwin at CSULA I quickly changed my major to Counseling. From there, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Services, then continued and earned a Masters of Science in Counseling with an option in Rehabilitation Counseling.

So please Governor help me fulfill my dreams.

Thank you very much Sincerely, Lorenz E. Konrad Re: File Number D-8192-04
