We, residents of the City of Oshawa, are appalled with the availability of dangerous novelty weapons in stores across our city. While we understand any knife can be used as a weapon, we also acknowledge the difference between household products and novelty weapons. We present this petition to the members of Oshawa City Council in hopes of imposing a ban, or imposing severe restrictions, on the sale of these dangerous weapons within city limits.
