Totally agree Jen , well done for this. My Ollie was nearly hit the other side in the Botanic Gdns Carpark by a parent obviously late driving far too fast .

It was my grandson who was nearly hit. It's amazing the sheer laziness and stupidity of these parents.

As a resident of sunny road i think the parking situation is ridiculous. It is sometimes a struggle to park your car up your own drive if other motorists and respectful of others

the parking by Churchtown Primary requires greatrer control and planning. The school has staff that require parking spaces which adds to congestion and some parents appear oblivious of the congestion and hazards they cause by inconsiderate parking. Consideration should be given to alleviating the congestion by the provision of additional parking in the area, even if just for the school staff, such as utilising the greened areas to the front of the school, or utilising part of the disused nursery site by the Botanic Gardens. Any effort to reduce car numbers can only be a bonus.

Totally agree, something should be done about selfish parking on yellow lines and across peoples drives. How many of those selfish parents/grandparents would like someone blocking their drive when they want to get out. Take an extra 5-10 mins park elsewhere and walk to pick these kids up, set a better example to them.

Children and parents need to feel safe when arriving at and leaving school. Presumably the inconsiderate drivers are parents whose children attend Churchtown school. Surely it's not too much to expect for them to act responsibly and set a good example of acceptable behaviour.

As a resident of sunny road I am absolutely sick of selfish parents parking over our drive and having to shout at them to move so I can park myself! The main concern is that an emergency vehicle would not be able to reach the end of the road when it is gridlocked!!!

I agree that Sunny Rd and St Cuthberts Rd are being abused by selfish parents. I am a busy working mum and drop off at peak times. I manage to use the drop off zone properly and park in a legal space when picking up. When my son was younger I would walk through the park and park in a quieter place. Its not difficult.

I totally agree and furthermore I would call for parents to watch their speed when driving past the school and towards the Con club - many parents drive like boy racers and could easily cause an accident on such a narrow short raid where children can't get out of the way quick enough.

Extremely dangerous! I'm sick of seeing lazy people park dangerously. Disgusting to see parents with disabled children in the school having to argue for the spaces that are there for their children!
